We would like to welcome you to a special Charity food tasting extravaganza at the Kantipur Restaurant where you will have the opportunity to taste the delectable delicacies from Nepal. Come and enjoy an exquisite menu to get your taste buds watering in a warm atmosphere where you will feel relaxed and welcomed. The restaurant is situated a 5 minute walk from Stockport Town Hall and a short distance from the Town Centre.
The event is being organised to help raise funds towards the expedition to the Nippon Scout Jamboree – 25,000 young people will come together for a unique experience, camping in a world village at the foot of Mount Fuji.
135 young people from Greater Manchester East will be some of the very few attending from Europe; consequently the other young people will be keen to get to know them and their ways. This will provide an opportunity for the young people to learn about the Japanese culture and traditions. They will be provided with the opportunity to try adventurous activities as well as some more traditional Japanese sports and activities.
