Every Can Counts

THIS FUNDRAISING EVENT IS NOW FINISHED – A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED CANS

In July 2007 Greater Manchester East Scouts hosted over 200 Scouts and leaders from Japan and offered them a glimpse of British life and culture

In 2010 over 160 Explorer Scouts (14 – 18 year old) and Leaders are making the return journey to taste life in the land of the rising sun

Arrangements have already been made for:

  • Home Hospitality with the Scouts who stayed in Manchester in 2007
  • Attendance at the Nippon Jamboree
  • A reception at the UK Embassy in Tokyo hosted by the British Ambassador
  • A ride on “The Bullet” train

The cost is £2000 per person, £1000 to be paid by each participant and £1000 to be fundraised

We have an arrangement with a company who will recycle our aluminium and steel cans. Please donate all drinks and food cans to this cause to help us make this experience happen.
