Climb to Japan

Sunday 20th June; 12:40 at Awesome Walls Climbing Centre, Stockport.

Eight explorer scouts from South Manchester are climbing the height of Mount Fuji on the walls. Four are climbing, four are belaying. Two Leaders have given up their weekends (very kindly) to help.

Determined, they ascend, again and again. With an overall target of 39 times each, it’s a hard ask. But 3776m worth of climbing is nothing to them, with the thought of spending 3 weeks in Japan; attending the 15th Nippon Jamboree and visiting and experiencing the Japanese culture with their own (somewhat worn) hands, set in their minds.

Kro Bar Curry Night

The Kro Bar Curry Night was a great success, and our thanks go out to everyone who supported the event.

Roadshows

We are holding a series of Roadshows, one for each Troop, at which you can meet the other members of your Troop, and the leaders who will be with you.

The Roadshows are being held at County Office 8pm to 9pm, which is at the Youth Service Resource Centre, Reddish Vale Road, SK5 7HQ.
