I’ve really enjoyed all the activities, but the Pioneering and Team Building challenges were the best. It’s been good to get together as a Troop, and work in our Patrols.

Climb to Japan

Sunday 20th June; 12:40 at Awesome Walls Climbing Centre, Stockport.

Eight explorer scouts from South Manchester are climbing the height of Mount Fuji on the walls. Four are climbing, four are belaying. Two Leaders have given up their weekends (very kindly) to help.

Determined, they ascend, again and again. With an overall target of 39 times each, it’s a hard ask. But 3776m worth of climbing is nothing to them, with the thought of spending 3 weeks in Japan; attending the 15th Nippon Jamboree and visiting and experiencing the Japanese culture with their own (somewhat worn) hands, set in their minds.
