Welcome to Japan2010
We are a group of Scouts from the Greater Manchester East County who are going on a trip to Japan in July 2010.
There will be approximately 140 YP and 30 Leaders, making us one of, if not the, largest overseas contingents at the 15th Nippon Jamboree.
You’ll be able to follow us on our journey right here as we take you through our Training Camps, our Fund-Raising activities, our time in Japan, and our return to Manchester.

Hello, I’m Kohei Kise, a member of the Group Committee of 4th Suita Scout Group in Osaka Japan. I was very glad to know that you were planning to send a large contingent team to the 15th Nippon Jamboree 2010. My son is also in the Venture Scout Unit (equivalent to an Explorer Scout Section in England) and he is also going to be at the Jamboree.
Now I am taking care of our Scout Group website and then I added some new pages named “Welcome! GME!”. There are some bilingual maps of Asagiri-kogen Heights, the 15th Nipponn Jamboree area, and trivias.
I’m sure you have questions about Japan – I will be happy to answer them personally, and help you find out more about Japan before come over.
